Persons with mental disability need our care, love and opportunities to enrich their lives. They do not have appropriate education, trainings and futuristic hopes. They are ignorant of Govt. schemes opportunities available and rights. They need to be aware of these things and provided support for self-help initiative. HEARTS – NGO realized this as a barrier in the positive progress of people with disabilities. The founder of this NGO has a son with mental disability as Autism. He had worked in an international NGO for 20 years and experienced the insecurity, sufferings and social isolation of these poor victims of mentally challenged. His involvement in this field especially in rural areas and also his personal affliction challenged him to do something that may bring hope, joy, peace and love in the life of these people in particular the children. The result of this is the scheme in the name of SHAMMAH.
