Central:
Advanced Biblical Counselling seminar – Level 1. was held from 18th to 24th May at St. Ann’s Generalate. The 18 participants appreciated the seminar. 6 participants from Orrisa felt equipped to go back and exhort the others. Dr. Hannah Anandraj, Mrs. Usha Divakaran, Rev Daniel Zachariah, Dr. Anthony David and Mr. Samson Gandhi were the facilitators.
A three day Workshop for Medical staff [25th -27th May] was organised by CBM, Bethel Hospital , Vuyyur for hospital staff and social workers. 23 participants were equipped with skills to help them relate positively and effectively with +HIV people. Dr. Helen Hemalatha and Mr. Syraskumar were the facilitators.
West:
An Introduction to Biblical Counseling was organized by Maharashtra Fellowship for Deaf, from 29th - 31st May at Pune. 17 people benefited from this programme. Syras and Ms. Saritha Mahajan were the facilitators.

We heartily welcome Mr. Krishna. He has completed his Masters in Pastoral counseling from Singapore Bible College, Singapore. He will be in charge of Western region. He comes from a banking background and responded to God’s call to equip himself and become available for counselling ministry in India. While he was earning his master’s degree, he had opportunities to counsel with people who had problems of substance abuse. He is passionate about counselling ministry. Please pray for him as he gives leadership for PtP ministry in the western region – Maharashtra, Gujarat & Rajasthan.
Mr. Syraskumar had the opportunity to attend ‘Pavement Project’ an initiative of SGM[Scripture Gift Mission] Lifewords from 4th to 8th May at Secunderabad. He was equipped with skills to counsel children. PtP is licensed for two years to use the ‘Picture me’ programme. The facilitators were Clarine from UK and Laura from Brazil.
Counselling report
26 people were counseled for over 31 hours with issues relating to family, work, marriage, self, habits, decision making, depression, debt, relationships, academics and career. The counselors were Nicole, Samson, Syraskumar, Rev Daniel Zachariah and Krishna.
