About Us
I am Rampert and my wife's name is Meghala. We live in Chennai, India with our three children, Rachelle, Johann and Rebecca. As for us, our life and work draws its meaning and strength from the God of the Bible. We speak and sing about the forgiveness, reconciliation, hope and peace offered by God. We chose to call our ministry "Legacy of Life" for the following reason.
I was driving back home one day when I spotted someone with a rather strange caption on his
t-shirt. The caption read "Legacy of Death." Startled by the fact that someone would consider that a caption worth sporting, I thought a bit and I realised that this indeed is the condition of all humanity. All of us who are born into this world would die one day. Bundled with the gift of temporal life is the very real fact of death. Alienated from God through their sins, mankind unhappily also inherits eternal
separation from God. I then thought of the offer that is universally available to all which I had received 30 years ago when I placed my faith in the One who called himself the "Resurrection and the Life." I realised that as an inheritor of eternal life through Jesus, I have received a "Legacy of Life" in the place of the "Legacy of Death." I spoke about this to Meghala and we thought it appropriate to
call our ministry "Legacy of Life" since that is the aspect we celebrate the most.
As for our denominational
affiliation we would be labeled "interdenominational." This is because I am from an Anglican background and my wife from an Assemblies of God background. We believe that all those who are "born again" are part of God's Church.
