Pastor Prem Prakash Singh hails from a good Christian family. God called
him in 1996. He has the vision and burden to reach Orissa, (India) with
the love of Christ and Plant churches among every tribal people group.
The sprit of the Lord filled him with a committed and zealous heart to
bring the lost souls, who are dying without salvation and win them for
Christ.
Introduction Of Orissa
Orissa in the past was known as “ Utkal Desh” meaning a country
with lofty arts. Orissa state is mainly a part of ancient Kalinga Empire,
which is situated on the East cost of India and is surrounded by west
Bengal in the North East, Bihar in the North, Andhra Pradesh on the South
East. Madhya Pradesh in the West and the Bay of Bengal on the East.
Orissa can be divided into two clear-cut
natural divisions (i) the Coastal Plain and (ii) The North Western plateau.
The coastal is covered mostly by alluvium temperature is below 200 c
and the temperature falls to about 190 c during December.

Three fourth of the state are covered by mountainous regions. Orissa
has 50,854 villages and 108 towns (including 6 cities). "Orissa
has 93 Scheduled Caste groups/clans and 61 Scheduled Tribe groups/clans
and 181 Economic backward classes (OBC) with lack of entrepreneurship
and investment capacity”. Orissa remains a poor state. 60 percent
of its population below the poverty line.
