Our Mission and Vision
Hope for India is the North American counterpart of an outreach of Jesus Christ to the people of people of Andhra Pradesh, India. Hope for India supplies strategies and resources through and on behalf of the diverse ministries of New Hope Ministries. New Hope Ministries headquarters are in a beautiful compound in a small town 5 hours drive Southeast of Hyderabad. New Hope Ministries has ministry activities in many small villages, as well as Hyderabad and Vijayawada.
The mission for Hope for India is to support these indigenous Christian Ministries in all they do, and to be a bridge between the needs of these diverse cultures.
The Vision is that these ministries be an effective fulfillment of the Great Commission in quite a number of different ways. India, for reasons too numerous to list, is a country hungry for the Good News, immensely strategic, and provides an unusually easy opportunity for Westerners to engage and visit in this part of the world, partly due to its strong link to the English language.
The Founders and Leaders of New Hope Ministries are Pastors P. Prabhudas and his wife, Ruth.
The ministries currently in effect in Andhra Pradesh include:
1)
Support of orphans and building infrastructure in the orphanages.
2)
Support of hundreds of village pastors and their families.
3)
Village outreaches and crusades.
4)
Support of a Bible School for training and sending church planters and pastors.
5)
Medical missions of various types to people of the surrounding area as well as the rural pastor network.
6)
Construction of various buildings, including a Christian School. 7)
Providing ministry-adventure-discipleship opportunities for Westerners from 1 week to 6 months in length.
8)
Rural home-church planting and evangelism.
9)
City church planting with attraction- and purpose-driven models.
10)
Youth rallies and street evangelism.
11)
Providing a bridge for the training of Indian ministers through seminars.
12)
Outreaches to the victims of natural disasters and hardships.
13) Women's ministry.
14) House to house evangelism.
15) Micro-finance.
16) Tribal and forest area church planting.
Through these efforts we see Jesus Christ glorified and the Kingdom of God built within the fabric of society.
We also see that visiting Westerners are transformed as the heart-felt reality of the Gospel stories are played out in real time before them. Please consider a visit to this wonderful place ….just click “Visit Us”.
